INTENT / 目的

To achieve additional reductions in aggregate water consumption beyond the prerequisite requirements. To examine the water use of the project holistically to identify added opportunities for water savings with indoor fixtures and fittings, outdoor water, and process water.

Indoor Water Use Reduction (1–5 points)

Path 1. Percentage Reduction / 路径1:百分比减少 — Earn points for additional reductions in aggregate indoor water use beyond the WEp2 prerequisite, as specified in Table 1. All newly installed toilets, urinals, private lavatory faucets, and showerheads that are eligible for labeling must be WaterSense labeled.

Outdoor Water Use Reduction (1–2 points)
室外用水减少(1–2分)

No outdoor water use is required by the prerequisite. Points are earned for reducing potable or natural surface or subsurface water for landscape irrigation compared to a baseline landscape design. The baseline is calculated by multiplying the landscape area by an evapotranspiration rate for the site-specific climate data. Two methods are available:

先决条件不要求室外用水。积分通过与基准景观设计相比,减少景观灌溉的饮用水或地表/地下水使用来获取。基准计算方法为景观面积乘以场地特定气候数据的蒸腾速率。提供两种方法:

Method 1. No Permanent Irrigation Required (2 points)

Design the landscape so that it does not require a permanent irrigation system beyond a temporary irrigation system for a maximum of two years for plant establishment.

Method 2. Reduced Irrigation (1–2 points)
方法2:减少灌溉(1–2分)

Reduce the project's landscape water requirement by at least 50% (1 point) or 75% (2 points) from the calculated baseline. Reductions must be achieved through any combination of plant species selection, irrigation efficiency, use of captured rainwater, use of recycled wastewater, and use of public-supplied non-potable water.

将项目的景观用水需求至少减少计算基准的50%(1分)或75%(2分)。须通过植物种类选择、灌溉效率、收集雨水、使用循环废水和公共供应非饮用水的任意组合实现。

Cooling Towers and Evaporative Condensers / 冷却塔与蒸发式冷凝器

For cooling towers, achieve additional reductions in potable water use beyond the prerequisite as outlined. Analyze the makeup water quality to determine the maximum potential cycles of concentration without exceeding thresholds for any of the parameters that affect the cycles of concentration. Achieve cycles of concentration equal to the maximum potential minus one (Cmax − 1).

在冷却塔方面,实现超出先决条件要求的饮ະ水使用额外减少。分析补水水质以确定最大潜在浓缩周期,不得超过影响浓缩周期的任何参数阈值。实现等于最高潜在周期减一(Cmax − 1)的浓缩周期。

Appliances and Process Equipment / 器具与工艺设备

Install ENERGY STAR qualified or performance-equivalent appliances where applicable. The project may also install equipment that meets the performance requirements of applicable CEE (Consortium for Energy Efficiency) tiers, ENERGY STAR Most Efficient designation, or add demand-based controls to minimize hot water circulation pump runtime.

在适用的情况下安装ENERGY STAR合格或性能等效的器具。项目还可安装满足CEE能效等级、ENERGY STAR最高效标识要求的设备,或添加基于需求的控制器以最小化热水循环泵运行时间。
