INTENT 意图

To plan for zero waste building operations by establishing a framework for waste reduction, reuse, and recycling from the design phase through occupancy, ensuring that the building is equipped to support circular material flows.

通过从设计阶段到使用阶段的废弃物减量、再利用和回收框架,为零废弃物建筑运营进行规划,确保建筑能够支持循环物料流。

1. Designate Collection and Storage Areas 指定收集与储存区域

Provide dedicated areas accessible to building occupants and operations staff for the collection and storage of recyclable materials. At a minimum, the following material streams must be accommodated:

2. Hazardous Waste Management 危险废弃物管理

Identify and plan for the safe disposal of hazardous wastes routinely generated by building operations. At minimum, provide safe collection and disposal provisions for the following:

Provide design details, maintenance manuals, and/or other resources from the design and construction team that outline how the building's waste management infrastructure should be operated and maintained. This documentation shall be transferred to the building owner and operations team.

LEED v5 emphasizes the zero waste hierarchy that prioritizes strategies in the following order:
