INTENT 意图

To encourage building reuse and material reuse strategies that reduce the embodied carbon and environmental impacts associated with new construction, and to support a circular economy by extending the useful life of existing building materials and products.

REQUIREMENTS 要求

OPTION 1 BUILDING REUSE / 建筑再利用

Synergy with MRc2 与 MRc2 的协同效应：The embodied carbon savings achieved through building and materials reuse may also contribute to credits under MRc2: Reduce Embodied Carbon.

IMPLEMENTATION GUIDANCE 实施指南

Option 1 — Building Reuse 建筑再利用

Survey the existing building to identify structural elements that can be retained (columns, beams, slabs, foundations).
对现有建筑进行调查，识别可以保留的结构构件（柱、梁、楼板、基础）。
Document the floor area or volume of retained structure as a percentage of the total building.
记录保留结构面积或体积占总建筑的比例。
Non-structural elements (interior partitions, finishes) do not count toward the reuse percentage.
非结构构件（内隔墙、饰面）不计入再利用百分比。

Option 2 — Materials Reuse 材料再利用

Identify opportunities to incorporate salvaged materials (reclaimed wood, brick, stone, architectural elements).
识别使用回收材料（回收木材、砖、石材、建筑构件）的机会。
Maintain cost documentation for all reused materials to demonstrate the percentage of total building material cost.
保留所有再利用材料的成本文档，以证明占建筑材料总成本的比例。
Off-site procured reused materials must be documented with purchase records and material descriptions.
场外采购的再利用材料须有采购记录和材料描述作为文档。
